The Challenge
Talk360’s users are counting on us to just work — a failed call isn’t a UX inconvenience; it’s a broken connection to someone who matters. Quality is the product.
Right now, our QA practice is at an inflection point. We’ve been largely manual and reactive. We’re changing that deliberately: shifting left, building automation into our definition of done, and making quality the shared responsibility of the whole engineering team — not a bottleneck at the end of the pipeline.
We’re looking for an automation engineer with deep quality instincts. Someone who can architect our testing infrastructure, embed quality thinking from the first line of code to production, and progressively eliminate the manual work that slows teams down. You’ll lead the journey, not just participate in it.
What You’ll Do
Own the QA process end to end
From backlog refinement — where you catch logic gaps and edge cases before a line of code is written — through feature testing, UAT, and production release. Structured, predictable, communicated clearly.
Lead the automation effort
Design, build, and maintain our automation frameworks across iOS, Android, Web, and API. Write automation code yourself. Review automation PRs from the dev team. Keep the suite healthy, fast, and trustworthy.
Drive the automation roadmap
Decide what gets automated and when. Build and prioritize the test scenario backlog. Organize hackathons and pairing sessions that bring engineers along on the journey — because in our model, the whole team contributes to automation.
Make quality measurable
Define and monitor QA metrics — coverage, cycle time, defect escape rate, regression confidence. Use data to identify gaps, improve incrementally, and make the case for investment.
